SAAP - the afforestation programme, was initiated in the year 1998. A total of over 5,00,000 trees have been planted in and around Thirumalaikodi. In addition, a joint project with the Government's Forest Reserves Department in 2003 was initiated to develop a green belt around Vellore town. Significant progress has been achieved through the combined efforts resulting in substantial difference in the climatic conditions of Thirumalaikodi and the surrounding areas.

SAGAR – Sakthi Amma Greenery Afforestation Revolution (SAGAR) was launched to save the planet, from ecological turbulence caused by the impact of global warming. This programme aims at creating the green revolution through large-scale nurseries and continued afforestation efforts, complementing the afforestation programme. These projects involve people from different walks of life of the society to create awareness and change.
